On Sunday, March 29, at 1 p.m., former Bishop Verot Catholic High School Inc. standout Victoria Ash and the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles came up short in their NCAA Division I softball contest, losing 8-5 to the North Florida Ospreys.

The FGCU Softball Complex hosted the teams for their third meeting this season. The season series stands even after the result.

In the game, Ash pitched two innings, surrendering four earned runs and walking one batter.

The Eagles are set to play their next game Friday, April 3, at the Debbie & Fred Pruitt Softball Complex against the Jacksonville Dolphins.
