The City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation teams up with Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife (CCFW) to host the 22nd Annual Burrowing Owl Festival Saturday, February 24.

The festival will be held at Rotary Park, 5505 Rose Garden Road, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year’s festival will feature:

  • live critters and birds
  • face painting
  • kids crafts
  • tours of the Tom Allen Butterfly House
  • bus tours to nearby owl burrows
  • a silent auction

Attendees will also have the chance to explore other conservation and wildlife organizations and listen to guest speakers share their knowledge about wildlife. A $5 donation for visitors 12 and above is appreciated.

The Burrowing Owl Festival, sponsored by CCFW and Cape Coral Parks and Recreation, takes place each year to educate residents on Cape Coral’s official City bird. For more information, visit ccfriendsofwildlife.org or call 239-980-2593.
