On January 24, City Council approved Ordinance 8-24, establishing additional parking regulations applying to commercial vehicles and trailers parking in City-owned or controlled parking lots located in the South Cape Zoning District.

The following regulations apply to all trailers and commercial vehicles located in a City Parking Lot except for construction trailers and commercial vehicles, as provided in the ordinance.

The updated ordinance:

  • applies to all City Parking Lots (view map below)
  • prohibits commercial vehicle parking between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.
  • prohibits trailer parking between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.
  • will be enforced by the Cape Coral Police Department
* Commercial vehicles include box trucks and vehicles advertising a business, for more details and specifics, refer to Ordinance 8-24.

Signs highlighting the new restrictions will be posted in City Parking Lots.
