The City of Cape Coral invites the public to a dedication ceremony for a Purple Heart parking space at City Hall on Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m.

The ceremony will be held in the City Hall Parking Lot at 1015 Cultural Park Boulevard. No reservation is required to attend.

This parking space will be reserved in honor of service members who were wounded in combat while serving in the U.S. military and received the Purple Heart award.

According to the Wounded Warrior Foundation, an estimated 1.8 million Purple Heart recipients have transitioned back into civilian life. The City of Cape Coral proudly recognizes these heroes' significant sacrifices.
