Cape Coral's contracted debris hauler has completed debris removal in all saltwater canals and anticipates completing the remaining 10 percent of freshwater canals by June 30.

The City’s Stormwater Division has resumed responsibility for removing debris from Cape Coral’s saltwater canals. Though most debris has been removed from canals since Hurricane Ian, subsequent wind events may have caused additional debris to enter waterways. Residents wishing to report debris in any canal can contact the 311 Call Center via:

Note: It is very important to provide a location as close as possible to the debris.

As of today, crews have removed more than 742,918 cubic yards of Hurricane Ian-related canal debris.
