The second-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks won their 15th consecutive game on the 2022-23 season in dominant fashion, defeating Tampa 113-69 on Wednesday night from the Rick Case Arena. Jonathan Pierre paced the Sharks, scoring a game-high 23 points, while grabbing eight rebounds and recording three assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half – Nova Southeastern began the game on an 11-4 run, as Will Yoakum recorded seven points in the opening minutes of the contest. Tampa cut the Sharks advantage to 13-11, but Dallas Graziani halted the Spartans momentum by knocking down a three-pointer. Nearing the midway point of the first half, Tampa trailed the Sharks by just one, but NSU was able to rally for a 13-0 run, which featured two three-point buckets by Graziani to extend the lead to 31-17. The Sharks went into halftime leading 60-35 over the Spartans.
Second Half – Nova Southeastern wasted no time extending its lead to over 30-points in the SSC showdown, as a steal from Shane Hunter set up a Yoakum dunk, putting the Sharks ahead 72-41. Alex Mangold knocked down a three-pointer, as NSU maintained its lead at 78-48. Later in the half, Jake Maranville put the Sharks ahead by 40, finishing a lay-up, as Nova Southeastern led 101-60. The Sharks closed out their 15th win of the campaign, defeating Tampa 113-69, and earning their 32nd consecutive home victory since 2020.
