Christmas is over, but scammers are still looking for free presents in Lee County.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public of an ongoing scam, where the suspect is posing as a member of LCSO.
The scammer is advising residents they missed jury duty and needed to pay a fine.
Be aware, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office will NEVER solicit money from you over the phone.
If you have questions about jury duty contact the Lee County Clerk of Court, and if you witness this scam, or are a potential victim, call the fraud line at 239-258-3292.
