HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half – The Sharks defense imposed its will on the Lions in the opening minutes of the game, as both Will Yoakum and Kobe Rodgers forced turnovers, which led to immediate offense, as NSU led 14-4 within two minutes. Yoakum knocked down a three-pointer, then added another steal, setting up a fastbreak dunk, putting the Sharks in front 21-9. The NSU reserve unit continued to control the early momentum for the Sharks, as Jonathan Pierre followed Yoakum's lead with a three-pointer, steal and fastbreak lay-up, giving NSU a 28-11 advantage. Nova Southeastern continued to show its dominance, scoring 85 points in the first half and went into the half time break leading 85-55.

Second Half – It was more of the same for NSU in the second half, as the Sharks crossed the 100-point threshold within the first five minutes. Pierre extended the advantage to 40-points, 115-75, with over 12-minutes remaining in the game. The Sharks, seeing the program record of 154 points in a single-game in their sights, continued to pressure the Florida Memorial offense and led 138-89 with under five minutes to go. Nova Southeastern nearly set a new record for points in a game, scoring 153 points and earning a 55-point victory over Florida Memorial.
