The Keiser volleyball team (32-7, 10-4) survived a five-set slugfest against the Ave Maria Gyrenes (19-6, 11-3) this evening to move on to the Sun Conference championship game. The Seahawks went down in set one, but took the next two sets. After Ave Maria won the fourth set, the Seahawks caught fire down the stretch to take set five, and took a 3-2 victory to secure a berth in the tournament finals.

Key Stats
Hannah Heide recorded the second-most assists in a single match in program history (65). Heide also recorded 16 digs and three kills.
Brooklynn Slater recorded a career high 32 kills, as well as 10 digs and two service aces. Slater hit .377 in the match.
Cameron Estep racked up 20 kills with nine digs.
Hannah Lynch totaled three blocks.
Erika Magin got 20 digs and tossed a service ace.
KU outhit AMU .250 to .042 in the final set.
Tonight was the first time that Keiser has played a Sun Conference tournament game in the Fernandez Family Center.
This was only the third time the Seahawks has played a five set match in the Sun Conference tournament, Keiser is now 2-1 in those matches.
Head coach James Rogers is now 4-3 in the Sun Conference tournament.

Keiser will face St. Thomas tomorrow in the Sun Conference championship match. First serve is set for 12:00 p.m. The match will feature some of the top players in the conference, with eight combined All-Conference selections between the two teams. St. Thomas and Keiser faced off twice during the regular season, the Bobcats won both matches. In the postseason, the Seahawks are 2-1 versus St. Thomas, with their last victory coming in the semifinal round of the 2020 tournament. Tomorrow's match will be Keiser's second ever appearance in the championship round, the Seahawks won their first appearance in 2020 versus Ave Maria.
