No. 1 men's soccer hit the road for the first time in the 2022 season. With the Seahawks entering a lightening delay, the match was delayed for a total of an hour and twenty minutes. Regardless, the Seahawks scored twice in the match but with a penalty kick for Point, the game resulted in a tie.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Seahawks started off on top and ready for action after scoring within the first five minutes of the match.
- Rui Reis got things started for the Seahawks after collecting the loose ball in the box unassisted for his second goal of the season (1-0).
- For the next 30 minutes, the game would remain at a steady pace of back and forth possession.
- At the 38th minute, Point tied things up with a goal from senior Fabian Saborio (1-1).
- Less than two minutes later, Lucas Jacobs knocked the ball into the top left corner to secure his first goal of the season (2-1).
- The Seahawks held the lead until just after halftime when at the 46th minute, a foul was called on the Seahawks and Point received a penalty kick where the Skyhawk's goal leader Max Paul Busnel scored. (2-2)
