Lee County Domestic Animal Services pets can help fill that empty nest

Avoid that empty-nest feeling with children back in school with help from Lee County Domestic Animal Services. Through Sept. 30, adoption fees for all cats and kittens and dogs older than 6 months will be reduced to $25. In addition, cats and kittens are two-for-one; adopt one and take home a second feline friend at no additional charge.

The adoption package includes spay or neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, county license and a 10-day health check. This is a $600 package. Volunteers and staff are ready to introduce a new family member. Visit the adoption center 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers.

Visit the website www.leelostpets.com to see pets available for adoption. On social media, follow Animal Services on Facebook at LeeCountyDomesticAnimalServices and on Instagram at leeanimalservices.
