The Re-entry Task Force had a busy week with events!
Lieutenant Ladonna Brady and her team assisted inmates with obtaining valid identification through the DSHMV. These inmates are now able to re-enter the community with proper identification and capability to apply for employment.
The Re-Entry team and Community Response Unit also attended the pop-up homeless service day event with the Lee County Homeless Coalition, Inc.
The Re-entry Task Force is dedicated to addressing the needs of inmates released back into the community. Homelessness, mental health issues and substance abuse leave many of those released in vulnerable positions and re-offending becomes a never-ending cycle.
