Moore, Sharks Announce 2022 Women’s Soccer Schedule

3

Nearing the start of preseason in less than a month, the Nova Southeastern women's soccer program has officially released its 2022 schedule, as head coach James Moore and the Sharks will kick off the fall on the road at King (Tenn.) on Thurs., Sept. 1.

In all, the Sharks will host seven of their 15 regular season matches at the NSU Soccer Complex, including their home opener against Sunshine State Conference rival Lynn on Sept. 14.

"It is always exciting to compete in the top conference in NCAA Division II," said Moore. "We are eager to get the season started. The schedule features some tough out-of-conference and regional games. We travel out of state the first weekend for two competitive regional matches and also have Flagler coming down to play us, which is another big regional game. It's never easy, but that's what makes it fun."

NSU will spend the opening weekend of the 2022 campaign in the state of Tennessee, where the Sharks will face King on Sept. 1 along with Carson-Newman on Sept. 3. The Sharks will then head to Lakeland, Fla. on Sept. 10 for the start of SSC play versus Florida Southern – the first of three straight league matches for NSU.

Among the early stretch of SSC contests for the Sharks features a road test at Florida Tech, the 2021 NCAA South Region Champions, on Sept. 17 before later traveling to take on the 2021 SSC Tournament Champions Embry-Riddle on Oct. 1.

From Oct. 5-19, NSU will play four of five matches at home, opening the stretch against Rollins and eventually wrapping up the home stand with a non-conference showdown versus Flagler.

NSU will close out the regular season with consecutive SSC games against both Eckerd and Palm Beach Atlantic – the latter coming at home on Oct. 25.

The 2022 SSC Tournament will be held this fall from Oct. 31–Nov. 6.
