Day 1 Recap
Keiser men's and women's track and field wrapped up day one at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships with Julien David garnering All-American honors in the Javelin throw.
The day was cut short of completion as there was inclement weather in the area.

- Garnered All-American honors with a sixth-place performance in the Javelin Throw.
- His throw of 60.54m broke the school record in the event
- David now holds all five of the top-5 distances in program history
- Tied a personal-best 22.16 time in the 200-Meter Dash
- His time did not qualify for the final but he will still have the 100-Meter Dash to run tomorrow
- The men's 100-Meter Dash preliminaries will take place on Thursday, May 26th at 5:40 p.m.
- The finals taking place Friday, May 27th at 5:00 p.m.
- Ran a 21.52 in the 200-Meter Dash which fell short of the qualifying time.
- Johnson will have another shot at gold in the 100-Meter Dash on Thursday.
- The men's 100-Meter Dash preliminaries will take place on Thursday, May 26th at 5:40 p.m.
- The finals taking place Friday, May 27th at 5:00 p.m.
- Clocked the fastest time of the day by a Keiser runner with a 21.43 in the 200-Meter Dash
- His time finished just behind the qualifying time of 21.26.
- Lightfoot will now turn his attention to the 400-Meter Dash on Thursday, May 26th at 6:20 p.m.
- If he advances, the finals will happen on Friday, May 27th at 5:40 p.m.
- Currently sits 10th overall with 3,250 points in the decathlon after the first day of competition.
- His time of 11.21 in the 100-Meter Dash was good for a second-place finish behind the current leader.
- Steenwinkel will look to the pole vault and 1500m run to make up the ground as he seeks another strong finish.
- Slotted in the second position in the decathlon after one day of action with 3,657 points.
- He only trails the reigning champion, Lee Walburn of Carrol (Mont.) with 3,720 points.
- Wilson already has two victories in the decathlon events with a win in the long jump and with a new school record in the high jump by just .01 meters.
- The men's decathlon will finish tomorrow, Thursday, May 26th after five more events.
- The 4x100-Meter Relay Team ran their fastest time of the season but finished just outside of All-America contention.
- Desir, Johnson, Lightfoot, and Xavier Williams ran a 41.20 in the sixth heat which placed ninth overall.
- The new time ranks third all-time in program history.
- The 4x400m Relay was one of the events that were not able to be run due to weather in the area.
- A makeup time for the event has yet to be decided by officials.
