In January 2020, final designs were approved by City Council for the Skatepark and Pump track at the former Skate Park location in Community Park at the Bonita Springs
Recreation Center. City Council also authorized staff to submit a grant application to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for grant funds to construct the Skate Park
and a transfer of park impact fee funds to provide the required match. In October 2021, FDEP awarded the project Grant Funding in the amount of $279,850. On March 3, 2022,
City Staff advertised for sealed bids for the Skate Park and Pump track project RFB 21- 01. The City received one sealed bid from New Line Skateparks FL, Inc. in the amount of
$1,120,862.
