MATCH SUMMARY
The No. 2 Keiser women's tennis team bested their D-II opponents, Valdosta State on the road Thursday afternoon, 4-2.
DOUBLES
- The Blazers took the early advantage on court three with Elisa Beau and Magda Tuells Bonet defeating Kahea Companion and Joyce Nouws, 2-6.
- VSU secured the doubles point on court two as Julia Saving and Hera Brynjarsdottir took down Kanon Sorakubo and Isabella Perez Flores, 4-6.
- Nicole Coopersmith and Vanja Vidanovic took some momentum back on court one with a 6-2 win over Natalie Kohoutkova and Rachelle Starreveld.
- Coopersmith continued to lift Keiser's energy with a 6-0, 6-1 win on court one.
- KU took the 2-1 lead on court three as Vidanovic cruised, 6-1, 6-2.
- The Blazers tied the match on court two over Companion, 5-7, 4-6.
- Perez Flores brought the match within one for Keiser on court five with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win.
- Nouws brought home the win for the Seahawks with a 6-3, 1-6, 6-0 win on court six.
"Happy to get the win and see the girls respond to some adversity today after dropping the doubles point," said Head Coach, Daniel Finn, "We still have a lot to improve on moving forward, especially in how we start matches. Nevertheless, I'm happy to get a tough road win today."
