Lee County recently issued the following announcement.
The Lee Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday authorized contracts and approved submitting a grant addendum to support operations of the Bob Janes Empowerment
Center.
The operations of the Empowerment Center have been managed by The Salvation Army since its opening in 2008. Due to the shifting needs of the clients being admitted to the
Empowerment Center, The Center for Progress and Excellence, a service provider with greater capacity to provide behavioral health services, will be assuming the responsibility of
the operations of the Center.
The Center for Progress and Excellence is a nationally accredited, nonprofit organization.
The operational transition is underway and is anticipated to be complete by March.
