Lehigh Acres Senior Center hosts Open House event

County of Lee recently issued the following announcement.

Make plans to attend the Lehigh Acres Senior Center Open House from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at 219 Plaza Drive, Lehigh Acres. The Lehigh Acres Senior Center 

plans a day of demonstrations and drawings. All programs will be represented and some booths will have drawings that entrants do not need to be present to win. There will be a 

grand prize drawing at 2:30 p.m. that requires entrants must be present to win. The demonstration schedule includes: 

10 a.m. – Tai Chi 

10:30 a.m. – Dancercise 

11 a.m. – Full Body Workout 

11:30 a.m. – Zumba

Noon – Let’s Entertain 

12:30 p.m. – Beginner Line Dance 

1 p.m. – Line Dance 

1:30 p.m. – Chair Yoga 

2 p.m. – Karaoke 

The Lehigh Acres Senior Center offers crafting classes/socials, exercise classes, and card games. The Travel Desk, operated by the Lehigh Acres Senior Citizens Center, Inc. 

(LASCC), offers bus trips, cruises and Broadway Palm Dinner Theater discounted tickets. The Golden Shell Thrift Shop, operated by LASCC, offers a low-price alternative for 

shopping. The Kitchen, operated by LASCC, offers a variety of food items. 

The Lehigh Acres Senior Center is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. except for government observed 

holidays. Membership is open to those age 50 and older. Annual memberships are $30 per person and a six-month membership is $24 per person. Anyone looking to be active and 

meet new people is encouraged to stop by the Lehigh Acres Senior Center.
