Crime Prevention Recycling Drop Off

Lawyer

City of Cape Coral issued the following announcement on Dec. 15.

The City is partnering with Waste Pro to offer Cape Coral residents a five-day Crime Prevention Recycling event immediately following the Christmas holiday.  The idea is for residents to have the option to remove boxes indicating what was inside them from the curb to aide in crime prevention.

This year’s drop-off location is located at the Bulk Drop Off Site at the North Cape Government Complex off of Kismet Parkway and NW 14th Avenue.

ONLY CARDBOARD items will be accepted during this event – there will be no exceptions.  Also, no commercial businesses will be permitted to use the facility.

This temporary service is optional and will be available from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. beginning Sunday, December 26 through Thursday, December 30.

Waste Pro will have staff at the event to ensure that only cardboard items are dropped off, and staff will be available if a resident needs assistance.

Proof of residency is required and may include photo identification with a Cape Coral address or photo identification and a utility bill, with an active Cape Coral utility account.
