Men's Soccer Earns Three All-American Awards

Keiser University issued the following announcement on Dec. 8.

After winning their first NAIA National Championship, the Keiser University Seahawks garnered three NAIA All-American awards, as announced by the league office on Wednesday evening.

Keiser had two players on the First Team and one on the Second Team.

First Team All-American

Cristobal Molina Campo, Junior, Seville, Spain

  • Named NAIA Tournament MVP and NAIA Tournament Outstanding Defensive Player
  • Garnered First-Team All-Conference honors for a second straight year as a defender
  • Played in 17 games for the Seahawks, starting in 16
  • Scored the GW goal in the KU's 1-0 win at then-No. 18 Mobile (8/27)
  • Anchored the Seahawks defense to eight shutouts
Lucas Jacobs, Junior, Breda, Netherlands

  • Earned a spot on the NAIA All-Tournament Team
  • Garnered First-Team All-Conference honors for a second straight year as a forward
  • Played in 18 games for the Seahawks, starting in 16
  • Tied for the team lead in points with 20 (7g, 6a)
  • His six assists were a team-best for the season
  • Registered two goals and two assists in a 7-1 win over Florida Memorial on October 13
Second Team All-American

Alejandro Varela Sabio, Sophomore, La Coruna, Spain

  • Appointed to the NAIA All-Tournament Team
  • Garnered First-Team All-Conference recognition as a midfielder
  • Started all 20 games for the Seahawks, registering a team-high 1579 minutes on the pitch
  • Part of the record-setting defense that earned nine shutouts on the season.
  • Assisted the GW goal in the NAIA Quarterfinal game against Missouri Valley
