City of Cape Coral recently issued the following announcement.
Celebrate the holiday season with one of Cape Coral’s most beloved and time-honored holiday traditions, the Holiday Boat-A-Long. This year’s family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, December 18, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Landlubbers can watch as dozens of illuminated boats gather in Bimini Basin at Four Freedoms Park for the parade, which first passes by the park before cruising through the canals of south Cape Coral.
The event of over 40 years will feature stage entertainment and performances, food and drink vendors, Christmas music, crafts for children and a visit from Santa Claus. Following the boat parade, there will be a free movie in the park, so be sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets.
