City of Bonita Springs recently issued the following announcement.
Council has approved the special event permit for the 2021 City of Bonita Springs Holiday in the Park event scheduled for Tuesday, December 7, 2021, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The event will include the annual tree lighting, the arrival of Santa Clause, children’s activities, musical performances, as well as food and beverages. Additionally, we will be
closing Old U.S. 41 Road during the event between Wilson Street and Ragsdale Street. City Council has approved a budget of $34,000.00 for the event.
The city will also be conducting a Holiday Lighting Contest in Downtown Bonita Springs. The participating businesses will be judged by the Special Events Committee in the
evening of December 6th, 2021. The first, second, and third place winners will be announced during the Holiday in the Park event before the tree lighting.
