School District of Lee County issued the following announcement on Nov. 9.
The School District of Lee County is holding a community meeting on Tuesday, November 30th for an update on the future of Veterans Park Academy for the Arts and the former campus of Lehigh Acres Middle School. The meeting will be in the Star Café at Veterans Park Academy for the Arts from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
The old Lehigh Acres Middle School campus was vacated in August when the students and staff moved to the new school on Sunrise Blvd. The campus is to be renovated for future use. The common border with Veterans Park Academy for the Arts allows for improvements at both schools.
District and construction team staff will present an update on the project at the meeting. There will also be time for a question and answer session.
Veterans Park Academy of the Arts is located at 49 Homestead Rd. South in Lehigh Acres. The community meeting starts at 5:30pm.
