Barry University Athletics issued the following announcement on Nov. 2.

Bucs drop to 5-5 in conference

The Barry Buccaneers lost their home finale to the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish 1-0 in Sunshine State Conference men's soccer action at Buccaneer Field on Tuesday.

Records: Barry (6-9-1, 5-5-0 SSC), Palm Beach Atlantic (13-1-0, 9-1-0 SSC)

SUMMARY:

33:17 - Twan Nieboer scored the lone goal of the game on a header after a corner by Quenzi Huerman in the 34th minute. | PBA 1, Barry 0

NOTEWORTHY:

Nils Buecheler saw his 235-minute scoreless streak end, but made four saves in the contest.

Tyler Dobinson made the defensive play of the game in the 87th minute, sweeping a shot by PBA's Tim Noeding off the line.

Albert Escuin had three saves for the 'Fish.

ON THE HORIZON:

Barry looks toward the SSC Tournament. With Nova Southeastern's 1-0 win over Rollins, the Bucs clinch a tournament berth. They await the conference to release the matchups later in the week. The SSC Quarterfinals are at campus sites on Nov. 11. The #3 seed hosts #6, while #4 plays #5.
