Nova Southeastern University issued the following announcement on Oct. 26.
Sofia Garcia Austt earns tie for eighth to lead the Sharks
In the final round of its fall season, the Nova Southeastern women's golf team shot a collective 19-over par 307 to earn third place in a highly-touted field at the Rollins Legends Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Both NSU and Lynn entered the morning as the frontrunners, yet it was Dallas Baptist that came from behind to win the tournament at 7-over in the final round and 24-over for the tournament.
Lynn finished two strokes back of DBU, while the Sharks earned sole possession of third at 30-over. Barry (+35) and Lee (+39) rounded out the Top-5 of the leaderboard.
Sofia Garcia Austt led the Sharks this week with a 54-hole score of 6-over to collect tie for eighth.
Just outside the Top-10 in a tie for 11th was Ellen Andersson at 7-over for the tournament. Andersson's tied for 11th comes one week after finishing tied for fourth at the Palm Beach Intercollegiate.
Nicola Fall (+8) took home a tie for 13th, followed by Hanna Ahlander, who tied for 16th at 9-over.
Freshman Jimena Marques finished tied for 43rd.
Competing as an individual, Haruka Muta wrapped up play in 21st at 11-over.
STATS OF THE DAY:
NSU topped the field in Par-4 scoring average (4.22).
The Sharks' combined 37 birdies were tied for most throughout the three rounds.
Fall and Garcia Austt finished 1-2 in Par-5 scoring.
BEYOND THE SCORECARD:
The Sharks earned Top-3 finishes in each of their final three tournaments of the fall.
