Diversity and inclusion are every employee’s responsibility in creating, shaping, and maintaining an engaged and supportive workplace as they promote higher performance, lower turnover, and improve overall organizational results. Diversity and inclusion in the workplace provide the organization with a competitive advantage, provide a positive impact on the organization’s performance, and allow for impactful and in-depth decision making. Specific behaviors and skills that are conducive to an inclusive and diverse workplace setting stimulate both individual and team productivity and growth through leveraging a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, experiences, and skill sets.
Inclusive workplace practices help to effectively unleash the unique potential among employees. Diversity allows for the exploration of differences in a positive, safe, and embracing environment through understanding, empathy, and tolerance. Celebrating and cultivating diversity is instrumental toy our understanding. By acknowledging the various differences among us, we allow these differences to inform our values, our minds, and our way of being. With continuous and cognizant recognition of diversity and inclusion, together we all thrive!
