City of Fort Myers issued the following announcement on Sept. 2.
City of Fort Myers has partnered with Lee County Solid Waste Division to offer residents a convenient and safe way to dispose of Hazardous waste and Bulk items . The joint event is taking place on Wednesday 09/15/21 at the City Recreation Skatium Parking lot Fort Myers Fl, 33902. The event is scheduled between 10am and 2pm.
The collections of hazardous waste such as leftover paints, cleaners, herbicides, pesticides, automotive fluids, and pool chemicals is an easy drive-through process available to all residents free of charge. This event provides residents convenient and responsible disposal of chemicals that might otherwise be harmful to people and the environment.
The Solid Waste department will also provide bulk item drop off at this location i.e., furniture, appliances, tires etc. Solid Waste will have someone staff the area for the bulk drop off, during the event.
