Lee County issued the following announcement on Aug. 31.
Lee County Parks & Recreation will host two open houses for a project on 0.8 of an acre along Telegraph Creek. The open houses will be held: • 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept.
9, at the Olga Community Center, 2325 South Olga Drive, Fort Myers • 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at the Alva Community Center, 21471 North River Road, Alva The public is
invited to stop by and view a conceptual plan as well as discuss the proposed improvements with county staff. Under the current design proposal, designated parking will be
created to allow for improved access to an existing primitive paddlecraft launch. In addition, a fishing/observation platform will be developed to increase recreational opportunities
