Old Bonita Library Under City Ownership

City of Bonita Springs issued the following announcement on Aug. 31.

Council has approved moving forward with a conveyance to transfer of the Old Bonita Springs Library from Lee County to the City of Bonita Springs and has directed City staff to 

contact the County administration to inquire about initiating the process. The building, which was constructed in 1983 and renovated in 1991 served as the city’s first library until its 

closure in late 2017. City staff will work with County staff to finalize the necessary documents to complete the conveyance. Future uses of the site have not been determined.
