Of the 7,048 people living in Fort Myers Beach in 2019, 54.6 percent (3,850) were women and 45.4 percent (3,198) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Lee Today.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 1,573-to-1,150. In the 65 and over age range, there were 2,118 females and 1,945 males.
