City of Cape Floral issued the following announcement.
The City is partnering with Waste Pro and Lee County Solid Waste to offer Cape Coral residents free quarterly Bulk and Household Chemical Waste Drop Off Events. The next scheduled event is November 7, 2020*. Collection hours will be from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Residents can bring unwanted items to the parking lot near the Cape Coral Police Department building, located at 1020 Cultural Park Boulevard.
While Waste Pro picks up bulk items curbside at no charge, this is another opportunity for residents to dispose of these items.
Proof of residency is required to drop off items during the event. Photo identification with a Cape Coral address is sufficient. Residents may also bring photo identification with a utility bill displaying an active Cape Coral utility account.
Once at the location, please stay in your vehicle. Waste Pro and Lee County will have staff available to unload items for disposal. As you pull into the facility the Bulk items lane will be to your left and the Household Chemical Waste lane will be to your right. If you have both, please use the Chemical Waste lane first.
This is a residential program and commercial building materials will not be accepted.
Acceptable Items for the Bulk and Household Chemical Waste Drop Off Event includes:
Construction Debris (less than 2 yards)
Appliances
Furniture
Electronics
Mattresses
Horticulture Debris
Fuel
Florescent Light Bulbs
Paint
Used Oil
Propane Tanks
