City of Bonita Springs issued the following announcement.
The Florida Department of Health in Lee County (DOH-Lee), in partnership with the City of Cape Coral and Cape Coral Fire Department, will be providing up to 500 free COVID-19 tests in Cape Coral at the Chester Street Resource Center.
Testing is scheduled beginning at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, July 26, and will continue weather-permitting, until 4 p.m. or until all available tests have been administered. Two drive-thru lanes and one walk-up lane are available. Additionally, this site is situated between Lee Tran Bus Routes along Cape Coral Pkwy and Miramar Street.

Tests will be available for anyone 18 years of age or older. There is no fee for the test, and no appointment or doctor’s order is necessary for the July 26 testing date. Children will be referred for testing to the Florida Department of Health in Lee County.
