Portion of Chiquita Boulevard North to be Closed for Widening

As work continues on the Chiquita North Widening Project, the north and southbound lanes of Chiquita Boulevard between Kismet Parkway and NW 27th Street will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, November 28, and ending in the evening hours of Monday, December 5.

Message boards notifying residents will be placed in the area a week before the closure, and a detour route (pictured below) will be in place to guide motorists.

Motorists should expect delays and use caution while traveling through the area.

For motorists traveling South on Chiquita Blvd: Turn Left onto NW 27th Street, Right onto NW 15th Place, Left onto NW 24th Terrace, Right onto NW 14th Avenue, and Right onto Kismet Parkway. This will return motorists to Chiquita Southbound.

For motorists traveling North on Chiquita Blvd: Turn Right onto Kismet Parkway, Left onto NW 14th Avenue, Left onto NW 24th Terrace, Right onto NW 15th Place, and Left onto NW 27th Street. This will return motorists to Chiquita Northbound.
