On Saturday, Nov. 22, former Southwest Florida Christian Academy standout Patrick Flynn’s current collegiate team the Crown Polars lost 14-76 against the Wheaton Thunder in the NCAA Division III Football Championship.
The game took place at McCully Stadium at 12 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Wheaton Thunder in the tournament.
Florida Gulf Coast University’s women’s basketball team has signed Denika Lightbourne from Florida International University for the upcoming season. Head coach Raina Harmon praised Lightbourne’s skills as a versatile guard who can both score and facilitate play.
These former Southwest Florida area high school athletes are set to compete on Saturday, May 2.
Florida Gulf Coast University softball will close its regular season against Stetson starting May 1. The outcome may affect both teams’ seeds for the upcoming ASUN Championship.
