Florida Gulf Coast University women’s basketball head coach Raina Harmon announced on Apr. 17 the signing of Lily Zeinstra from Butler University to the team’s roster for the 2026-27 season.

The addition of Zeinstra is part of a group of new players joining FGCU, including incoming freshmen Elle McCulloch and Ari Turla. Returning members include Cerina Rolle, Karina Gordon, Sinai Douglas, Jalei Pillow, Shameir Quimby, Airah Lavy, and Eve Alexander.

“Lily brings immediate impact to our program with her scoring ability and versatility as a big guard,” Harmon said. “She’s a proven three-point shooter who can stretch defenses while also putting pressure on the rim. Her length allows her to disrupt defensively and make a strong impact on the glass, and we’re excited to integrate Lily into our FGCU brand of up-tempo basketball!”

Zeinstra is a junior guard from Byron Center, Michigan. She played two seasons at Butler University in Indianapolis where she appeared in 65 games with 48 starts. During that time she scored 502 points and recorded notable statistics in rebounds (186), assists (139), steals (44), and blocks (19). As a sophomore at Butler, she averaged nearly eight points per game while shooting over 46 percent from the field.

Before college, Zeinstra had an accomplished high school career at Byron Center High School with over 1,600 points scored. She was named Miss Basketball Runner-Up as a senior and earned multiple all-conference honors as well as All-State recognition.

Zeinstra said she chose Florida Gulf Coast University after being impressed by its location, campus environment, and basketball program.
