LeeTran will reintroduce all fixed-route bus services on Sunday, Nov. 13.
LeeTran has been operating a modified service since Hurricane Ian made landfall on Sept. 28, allowing LeeTran vehicles to be used for emergency transportation on barrier islands and service to emergency shelters, Disaster Recovery Centers and field hospitals.
LeeTran temporarily halted bus fare collection prior to Hurricane Ian, but fare collection also will resume Sunday, Nov. 13.
All paratransit services were restored Nov. 2. To make a reservation through LeeTran’s ADA Passport department, call 239-533-0300.
Lee County Transit, LeeTran, is the public transit provider for Lee County. LeeTran typically operates 26 bus routes during season, 23 bus routes during the off-season and a paratransit service known as Passport. LeeTran employs nearly 300 people and has a fleet of 52 full-size buses, 12 trolleys and 50 paratransit vans.
