The  City of Cape Coral will be installing a new playground shade structure at Joe Stonis Park, 3444 Ceitus Parkway, beginning the week of August 21. The playground will be closed during this time and is expected to reopen the week of September 18, barring any unforeseen circumstances. All other park amenities will remain open.

In 2018, Cape Coral voters approved a $60 million expansion of the City’s parks and recreation amenities. The approved 15-year general obligation bond funds major parks and recreation improvements throughout the City. This includes the creation of new parks and improvements to existing parks.
