Irianis Garcia’s Stetson Hatters fall 8-2 to Florida Gators in second season matchup

Former Calvary Christian School standout Irianis Garcia and the Stetson Hatters were defeated 8-2 by the Florida Gators during their NCAA Division I softball game on Wednesday, April 1, at 6 p.m.

The teams faced off at Patricia Wilson Field. This marked their second meeting of the season; in their earlier contest on Wednesday, March 25, the Hatters lost 3-2.

Garcia posted two hits in four at-bats, scored two runs, struck out once, and stranded one runner on base.

Next, the Hatters will play the West Georgia Wolves at UWG Softball Field on Friday, April 3.
