Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, led by former Bishop Verot Catholic High School Inc. standout Victoria Ash, fell 9-6 to the Florida Gators in their NCAA Division I softball matchup held Wednesday, April 15, at 6 p.m.

Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium hosted the teams in their first meeting against the Gators this season.

Ash allowed one earned run across 1.2 innings with one walk recorded.

Florida Gulf Coast will play next at FGCU Softball Complex against the Jacksonville Dolphins on Saturday, April 18.
