HOW IT HAPPENED:
- During rounds one and two, there had been a combined three team rounds under-par posted. However, the birdies were falling left and right throughout Tuesday’s final round, as seven of the field’s 11 teams shot under-par.
- While NSU carded an eight-under par round, Barry rattled off an 18-under par performance to run away with the team title by 13 shots. The Buccaneers earned the win with a 54-hole score of (-20) 844 – 13 strokes better than runner-up Florida Southern.
- Saint Leo finished in fourth at three-under par, with Lynn rounding out the Top-5 on the leaderboard at even-par.
- Hay set the tone early with an eagle on the Par-5 2nd en route to a final round of (-4) 68. The effort guided Hay into a tie for sixth for the tournament at four-under par overall.
- Olofsson crept into the Top-10, placing tied for ninth thanks to a final round of (-3) 69. The Swede played his final 15 holes on Tuesday at a bogey-free, three-under par to close out the week at two-under for the tourney.
- A strong back nine propelled Javier Calles to his second straight round of even-par. Calles shot one-under for the tournament, good enough to earn a share of 14th.
- Cachon went out in (-3) 33 before ultimately finishing with a (-1) 71 in the final round. Cachon wrapped up play at three-over par to take home a tie for 26th.
- The Par-5 17th is one Josep Serra will thinking about for quite some time. The freshman had a round of five-under par going on Tuesday until he penciled in an 11 on the second-to-last hole. Still, Serra recorded a final round of (+1) 73, putting him at nine-over for the tournament and in a tie for 36th.
STATS OF THE DAY:
- The Sharks carded a combined four eagles throughout the tournament, two more than any other team in the field.
- Calles led the team with 12 birdies during the week, while Olofsson finished with a close 11.
- Tuesday’s final-round scoring average of 72.67 was nearly two strokes lower than Monday’s second-round average.
