CRA Hosting Art Sculpture Unveiling

The Community Redevelopment Agency is hosting a sculpture unveiling on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 4 p.m.

The ceremony will be held at the roundabout on SE 47th Terrace.

The sculpture is an original work of art by artists Gus and Lina Ocamposilva. The completed piece will be 10 feet tall and five feet across.

The artwork from this husband and wife team features contemporary design elements that highlight Cape Coral’s 400 miles of waterways and remind residents of the City’s diverse and eclectic atmosphere.

This is the CRA’s second art installation in the South Cape.

In April, 15 works of art by local artists were installed as Utility Box wraps on SE 47th Terrace from Coronado Parkway to SE 15th Avenue.

Nine additional works of art were approved for utility boxes at a CRA meeting in May.

Twenty-five unique art pieces will be displayed in the South Cape once the sculpture and wraps have been installed.
