The City of Cape Coral and Coral Oaks Golf Course are proud to host the 2022 Sustainable Energy Technologies, Incorporated (SETI) Cape Coral City Championship Golf Tournament the weekend of October 15-16. As in previous years, competitors will vie for the lowest score in a 36-hole stroke play format consisting of six (6) men’s flights and a ladies’ division. Gross score champions and a low senior score will be awarded in each of the men’s flights, and the ladies’ division will recognize one low gross score champion and award prizes based on low net scores.

Prior to the two-day City Championship, Coral Oaks will host the Roger Dean Chevrolet Pro-Am on Friday, October 14, with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start followed by the Kickoff Party and BBQ from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The party will include food, music, plus a chance to mingle with past City Champions, course members, and friends. Admission to the party is included with the City Championship and Pro-Am registration fees, or non-golfers can attend the party for only $25 (includes two drink tickets).

“The SETI City Championship is one of the premier amateur golf events in Southwest Florida. We are pleased to host the Roger Dean Chevrolet Pro-Am and Kickoff BBQ on Friday again this year,” said Allen Manguson, PGA Director of Golf at Coral Oaks. “The event creates strong competition amongst golfers of every skill level. A big thank you goes out to our title sponsor SETI and our other sponsors whose support helps make the tournament possible.”

Registration opens on Saturday, September 10. Entry fees are $125 per person for Friday’s Pro-Am event, $200 for the weekend tournament, or $300 for both. The tournament registration fee includes all green and cart fees for the 36-hole weekend competition, beverages on the course, lunch on Saturday, awards dinner on Sunday, range balls and tee gift for each golfer, prizes and trophies for the top finishers, plus one ticket to Friday evening’s Kick-off Party. The tournament is limited to 172 competitors and interested golfers should register for the tournament through the Coral Oaks website at www.CoralOaksGolf.com. The deadline for registration is Monday, October 10, at 12:00 p.m. For more information, call the Coral Oaks Pro Shop at (239) 573-3100.
