Please join us in welcoming a new employee to the City of Cape Coral’s Communications Office. Matt LiPani has been selected for the Senior Public Information Specialist position.

Matt has nearly 20 years of experience in the field of Communications with 12 years of combined experience in state and local government. He moved to Florida five years ago and came to us from Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, where he worked as the Public Relations Specialist at the national level for its commercial division, Coldwell Banker Commercial.

Communications Office Hours: Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Communications Inbox: Please send ALL media inquiries, including interview requests, to communications@capecoral.gov. Using this inbox ensures our entire office sees the requests and can respond to them in a timely manner.

The Office of Communications handles media relations for all City departments, except Police and Fire. Reporters can reach the Cape Coral Police Department’s Public Affairs Office at capepdpao@capecoral.gov and the Cape Coral Fire Department’s PIO at aschuch@capecoral.gov.

After-hours emails, phone calls, and texts: Communications received outside of office hours will not be responded to unless it is an incident of significant public interest. 

Records requests should be sent to the City Clerk’s Office at ctyclk@capecoral.gov. More information on records requests can be found on the Clerk’s webpage.
