The City of Cape Coral announced on May 13 that it will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of Tropicana Park. The event is scheduled for Friday, May 29, at 10 a.m. at the park’s location at 4101 Tropicana Parkway W. The ceremony is open to the public and does not require reservations.
The new park will offer waterfront access designed for recreational activities and non-motorized boats. Features include a beach area, water access points, launch docks, a boat tie-up dock, and an accessible kayak launch. Additional amenities consist of an observation pavilion, picnic pavilions available for rental, playground facilities, walking paths with fitness stations, parking areas, and restrooms.
City officials are expected to participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Community members are encouraged to attend and take part in celebrating this addition to Cape Coral’s parks system.
According to city representatives, more information about the event can be found by visiting CapeCoral.gov or by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department.
