The City of Cape Coral announced on Apr. 14 that it is inviting residents to share their speeding concerns as part of a Citywide Local Roadway Speed Study using a new interactive online map.

The initiative aims to gather community feedback in order to guide future traffic safety planning and decision-making throughout the city. Officials say that resident participation will help identify areas where speeding is an issue and inform possible solutions for improving neighborhood safety.

Residents are encouraged to submit their comments through the online map, with instructions available by tapping the “Help” icon on the main page. The city will accept comments until the end of April, giving residents several weeks to participate in this effort.

According to the announcement, collecting input directly from those who live and travel in Cape Coral is an important step toward enhancing roadway safety across all neighborhoods. The study focuses specifically on evaluating speed limits and traffic conditions on local roads within city limits.
