The City of Cape Coral announced on May 20 that SE 47th Terrace is currently closed near the LCEC substation at the corner of SE 8th Court and SE 47th Terrace, close to Coronado Parkway. The closure is due to work by LCEC subcontractor crews who are digging a foundation at the site.

The city said that road closures will be temporary and will happen intermittently as construction continues along SE 47th Terrace between SE 9th Place and Palm Tree Boulevard. This work is expected to last through the end of June.

Traffic in the area is being detoured between SE 8th Court and SE 9th Terrace. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and exercise caution when traveling in this part of Cape Coral.

Residents seeking more information about these road closures or details about the ongoing work are encouraged to contact LCEC for updates.

The temporary changes may affect local traffic patterns until construction concludes, but officials expect normal traffic flow to resume once all work has been completed.
