The City of Cape Coral announced on May 6 that it will host the Grand Reopening Celebration at Jaycee Park on Saturday, May 9, from 4 p.m. to approximately 9:30 p.m. The event will include live music, free food and beverages, and a showing of the live-action film “Lilo & Stitch.”

The city said parking at Jaycee Park will be reserved exclusively for guests with disabilities who have valid permits. All other attendees are directed to use one of five designated off-site parking locations, which are shown in an attached map provided by the city. Complimentary shuttles will operate continuously between these lots and the park throughout the event.

A drop-off and pick-up area is set up at Jaycee Park for families or groups who prefer to be dropped off near the entrance before drivers park remotely and return via shuttle. Clear signage as well as Cape Coral Police officers will be present to help direct traffic to appropriate parking areas, shuttle stops, and the drop-off/pick-up zone.

For those using ride-share services, organizers advise using 4215 SE 20th Place as the drop-off and pick-up location.

Parking options include Lot 1 at 4117 Coronado Parkway; Lot 2 at 4140 Coronado Parkway; Lot 3 at 4508 SE 15th Avenue; Lot 4 at 4427 SE 15th Avenue; and Lot 5 at 1629 SE 47th Street. A PDF map is available for download through city resources.

The celebration marks a significant community event with efforts made by officials to ensure accessibility and smooth transportation for all attendees.
