The Cape Coral Youth Council announced on April 16 the recipients of its 2026 “Excellence Awards,” recognizing outstanding students from the Cape Coral community.
The awards honor students in several categories. This year, Jackson Taylor from Florida SouthWestern Collegiate High School received the Arts award, Elyssa Vazquez from Mariner High School was recognized for Athletics, and Zoe Enslin, also from Mariner High School, was honored for Civic Engagement. Ambrielle Calixte of Bishop Verot Catholic High School received the Excellence award, while Jonathan Cernuska from Oasis High School was recognized for Leadership.
According to the Youth Council, these individuals have shown exceptional talent and dedication in their respective fields. The council said they serve as role models for their peers and contribute significantly to the local community.
