The City of Cape Coral’s Financial Services Department earned the Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). This is the first year the City has achieved this prestigious award.

The GFOA presented the PAFR Award to the City’s Financial Services Department for its Popular Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2022. The 2022 Popular Annual Financial Report is a distilled, 12-page version of the city’s 208-page 2022 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. The City created the truncated report to enhance transparency and the public’s access to the City’s official financial reporting.

The City of Cape Coral’s PAFR was graded based on evaluating the information presented, reader appeal, understandability, distribution, and the document’s creativity and usefulness.
