The City of Cape Coral’s Finance Department was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association. This is the 37th consecutive year the City has achieved this prestigious award.
This distinction is the highest recognition in government accounting and financial reporting. The Certificate of Achievement was awarded to the City’s Finance Division for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2022.
The City’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the program’s high standards, demonstrating a “spirit of full disclosure” to communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and groups to read the report.
